He’s off again… Lowes

9:00 PM.

Doug is at Lowe's.

Again.

No one is surprised.

The truck has become a full-blown engineering project. What started as "Let's add a rack" somehow evolved into redesigning the entire roof system.

When I suggested he simply buy a roof rack instead of fabricating one from scratch, I wasn't sure he'd survive the idea. Doug loves solving problems with aluminum, steel, and a workshop full of tools.

To his credit, he did buy the Thule rack.

Then... he proceeded to mutter a few choice words at it because he couldn't figure out the instructions.

The problem wasn't the rack.

It was the fact that he'd been engineering all day without eating.

So I handed him a sandwich.

Funny thing...

After a few bites, the mysterious Thule rack suddenly became much easier to assemble.

Apparently, the missing tool wasn't a socket wrench.

It was lunch.

Now he's back at Lowe's.

For "just a few more bolts."

Which, around here, could mean we'll see him in 20 minutes...

...or he'll come home with enough hardware to build another truck.

Love my husband!
